The round table facilitated by the Silver Taiga Foundation and WWF Russia under The Barents Baltic Nature and People Programme for activists from Udorsky, Ust-Kulomsky, Syktyvdinsky and Priluzsky Districts of the Komi Republic. The participants were trained by Ivanna Lebedeva an expert of Agency For Rural Development Initiatives from Moscow.
Nadezhda Karakchieva told about a weaving workshop in the Kozhmudor village of Ust-Vymsky District during the round table. The participants from the Priluzsky District really enjoyed this initiative and six months later they created their own weaving workshop. It’s great that the meeting in the Silver Taiga Foundation served as the only reason for this. All Foundation activities are intended to develop cooperation between local communities and it’s pleased to realize that it is bearing fruit.
